When I got married we asked our friends to create Roundabout Dogs and leave them round Glasgow on the morning of the wedding. This is ours. It lasted 2 days before disappearing. Ill post some pictures of the others.
I wanted to make a present for Anna who lives with a high rise balcony too exposed for plants. I wanted to make a flowers mosaic that would sit on the balcony but It was too complicated to make it weather proof. This was my first mosaic and is now indoors.
This has started a ongoing project of mosaic making. They make great presents as the receiver can tell how much effort goes into making them - and it takes a lot.
I bought my first Polaroid camera when I first moved to London. I have hundreds of them covering 15 years or so.
Yesterday I used the last Polaroid film that I had and marks the end of a small era as they do not make the film anymore.
Polariods are like my memory - uniquely capturing moments, mostly in poor quality - but sometimes they are special.
I have started this as an excuse to look through the old polaroids but also to document old and new projects to remind me to keep starting new projects.
Here are two Polaroids from each end of the Polaroid project.
